Our public schools and teachers have limited resources to create educational innovation. With Tracy's rapid growth from 20,000 people in 1980 to over 82,000 today, many new residents are not familiar with Tracy's history and resources. The Foundation helps bridge this gap for youth with direct classroom support to enhance curriculum and instruction that focuses on Tracy. Our community provides a valuable learning environment, and, though the instructional process, a means for our youth to participate in the community in which they live. The Foundation's focus on Tracy - its history and natural environments - presents a unique approach for our students to learn about, connect with and contribute to their community, while at the same time supporting district, state and national curriculum standards.

Foundation Announcements
- TEF is sponsoring the Tracy Poppy Project, an ongoing annual project. See Tracy Poppy Project for information.
- TEF, under a grant from the Great Valley Center/Citigroup Success Fund, developed the Tracy Nature Activity Fun Book. The Foundation is raising funds to produce and distribute the 1st edition of the Tracy Nature Activity Fun Book>. See Curriculum Resources for information.
- Applications will be accepted for the Fall 2008 grant cycle from August 28, 2008 through September 8, 2008. See Current Grant Cycle for information about the 2008 program.
- The Foundation has issued its 2nd edition of the Tracy History Coloring Book. See Curriculum Resources for information.
- The Foundation received Congressional Recognition from Congressman Jerry McNerney for its educational activities.
