TEF - supporting our schools and tracy community

TRAQC Educational Foundation

The TRAQC Educational Foundation (TEF) is a local 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable foundation formed in 2000. We provide direct benefit to public education services and programs for Tracy area public school students emphasizing curriculum and instruction involving the Tracy community. Our program priorities focus on the history and natural environments of Tracy.

Our public schools and teachers have limited resources to create educational innovation. With Tracy's rapid growth from 20,000 people in 1980 to over 82,000 today, many new residents are not familiar with Tracy's history and resources. The Foundation helps bridge this gap for youth with direct classroom support to enhance curriculum and instruction that focuses on Tracy. Our community provides a valuable learning environment, and, though the instructional process, a means for our youth to participate in the community in which they live. The Foundation's focus on Tracy - its history and natural environments - presents a unique approach for our students to learn about, connect with and contribute to their community, while at the same time supporting district, state and national curriculum standards.
