Giving

Since its inception, the Foundation Board has been committed to ensuring that Foundation donations go to benefit public education services and programs in Tracy. The Foundation does not have any paid staff. Board Members and others are active volunteers conducting the Foundation’s work.

The Foundation relies on community donations to support its charitable goals.  To establish a sustainable long-term charitable organization and continue to expand its charitable work, the Foundation seeks financial support from individuals, business and corporate donors and other larger philanthropic foundations.

The Foundation is grateful for the generous contributions of time and donations from many in the community over the years, and the corporate support of such organizations as The Safeway Foundation, The Great Valley Center, and Wal-Mart.

You can help us continue and expand our programs through your ongoing generous support.  

 S.H.A.R.E.S. Card

You can help us raise funds throughout the year just through your regular grocery shopping.  The TRAQC Educational Foundation now participates in the Save Mart Corporation S.H.A.R.E.S. program.  When you shop at a Save Mart, Food for Less, Lucky or SMART Foods store, Save Mart Corp will donation up to 3% of the value of your purchase to TEF.  All you need is a TEF S.H.A.R.E.S .card that will link your purchases to the TEF account.  When you do your regular shopping, just swipe the card before you pay and your order is finished being rung up.  That is it!  There is no cost to you and does not affect your purchase in any way – TEF gets the credit of your purchases.  If you have questions or would like a S.H.A.R.E.S. card, please mail tef@starband.net.

Community Fundraiser

The Foundation’s premier fundraising event is the “Dinner in the Field”.  We celebrate the beauty of our natural environment and the role of agriculture in our heritage while we raise funds for current and new educational programs for our young people.

Donations

As a 501(c) (3) non-profit public benefit corporation, organizations or individuals may make tax-deductible donations to the Foundation to support the Foundation’s charitable work. Donations may be made for general program support or to support a specific program activity. Donations may also be made as part of your year end giving, in memorial recognition, and as part of planned giving.
