School has started and we need YOUR HELP so that 3rd grade classes can continue to attend the Tracy
Historical Museum and Lammersville Pioneer School Programs.
The TRAQC Educational Foundation (TEF) is holding an “Adopt a History Class” fundraising drive for the Historic Lammersville Pioneer School and Tracy Historical Museum 3rd Grade Registration Fee Grant Program. TEF provides grants to 3rd grade classes to cover the registration fee for these programs conducted by the West Side Pioneer Association. As school site funds have been cut, the TEF registration grants are needed even more for classes to attend the Pioneer School and Museum programs. Your donation of $150 covers the class registration fee for both programs.
The Foundation is asking you to “Adopt a History Class” during this fundraising drive. School started August 11th – we need your help TODAY to raise funds for the registration fee grant program for the 2010-2011 school year. All proceeds will go toward the local history program registration fee grants.
If you donate by September 17, 2010 you will be eligible for a drawing with several GREAT PRIZES.** The deadline has been extended for the prize drawing.
Please help us ensure local 3rd grade classes can continue to attend these wonderful living history programs. Please send in your donation today. For more information contact tef@starband.net, 914-0792, or www.traqc-foundation.org.

Student Art Shows featuring scenes from California’s Natural History will be held in March and April at the Museum.
Two shows, each with an opening reception are scheduled this year showcasing paintings by Therese Ayala’s 4th grade class at Hirsch School and Adele Block’s 4th grade class at Freiler School.
Organized by the TRAQC Educational Foundation and co-sponsored with the West Side Pioneer Association, the Student Art Shows help promote student appreciation of our history and bring more people to the Museum. In its second year, the Student Art Shows are one of the educational programs developed by the TRAQC Educational Foundation around Tracy’s history and environment.
Be certain to stop by the Museum to view the delightful student art work.
